Today's Typical Tiare Card

Well, this past Saturday was National Card Making Day and I thought it would be fun to challenge the ladies on the Classy Scrapper Forum and SOC to create cards using layout sketches.  

As most of you know, I enjoy making cards with the scraps left after creating a layout.  However,  I often find myself creating similar designs again and again and want to step out of the box.  Letting a sketch be my guide was just the perfect "out of box" touch I needed.  Here are two sketches and two cards I created this weekend.  I really like how these turned out.

 

I encourage each of you to try using the layout sketches to create cards.  I'm sure you'll love the results!
