This weekend dh and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary. Wow! 9 years and considering that we were married on the 9th Anniversary of our 1st date and 18 years later we are still celebrating and having fun, I am blessed! Dh said to me that it really doesn't feel like it's been that long. I agree. It's like the saying/song (if you are a Janet Jackson fan you'll know the song), "Funny how time flies when you're having fun!"
To celebrate we went for a Weekend Getaway to a small Bed and Breakfast about an hour from home. The town, I must say left a bit to be desired, but the Bed and Breakfast (Maison LaVigne) was very nice and we were spoiled by the owner Eileen Reichman. She prepared dinner and breakfast for our stay. It was wonderful.
We had a great time. We walked around the town which is quite abandoned but it was interesting walking around and learning about the area and how it once was, how it is and how it is starting to grow again..with more people and businesses starting to move back into the area. Before now, I had never really been in an area that looked abandoned. The owner of the B&B loves it and wouldn't imagine moving.
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the weekend.

A Table for Two
The Appetizer: Shrimp with mango and guacomole! YUMMY!
Main Course: Filet Mignon, Whipped Potatoes, Asparagus and Mushrooms. SCRUMPTIOUS. The Chef calls the Filet Mignon cooked Medium Perfect and it was.
After Dinner Salad with cheese, which we were told is the tradition in France. TASTY.
Dinner was simply DELICIOUS! Dessert was cheesecake with fresh strawberries and chocolate(I forgot to take a picture...I think I was over photo taking at this point..I almost forgot to take a picture each time..but you know I've got to do a layout of the weekend! LOL!). At the end of this anniversary meal we were stuffed! LOL! It was truly a wonderful meal.
The next morning we awoke to a wonderful breakfast of quiche, muffins, grits, yogurt with granola and fruit and mini toast with rhubarb jelly. YUM!
It was a great weekend, a wonderful celebration. Another year, celebrating our love.
