A Wonderful Surprise!!!

A BIG surprise from A2Z Essentials.  This is such a wonderful company.  They are sponsoring 2 of my classes at the upcoming Simply Southern Scrapbook Convention!  Anyway, I have been searching for their paper Essentials by Kate the Groovy Line and I just can't find it anywhere.  So, I was talking with Heidi, one of the owners and I told her just how much I wanted to have it in my personal collection.  She suggested a few online stores, but unfortunately they were non-responsive.  You see A2Z has discontinued this line and also SOLD out of it.  They don't continuously produce their papers...so if you see it...you better buy it...cause it just might be gone.  They specialize in limited edition papers.  Well, anyway imagine my surprise when the box arrived with the papers for my class and in the box I spy a note from Heidi and....

Kate_groovy

Whoa Mama!  Bunches of the Groovy Line!  Woohoo!  How fabulous is that!  I LOVE this paper!  Heidi found a small stash and sent it to me!  She remembered how much I wanted it!  She is super and their paper and embellies are SUPER too!  You've got to check 'em out at the A2Z Essentials web site.  Be sure to look for their new fabulous papers and embellies to be released at the CHA Summer 2006 Show!

This sure made my day!

My Protector, My Companion, My Friend!

Have I ever told you just how much I love my dh.  He does so many sweet, simple things that say, "I love you."

I have a friend who owns a scrapbook store and I work the store for her maybe 2 times a month.  Usually for 4 hours per day.  Well on this day, this past Saturday I worked for 6.  Guess who came and stayed with me the entire 6 hours.  He stays on the 4 hour days too!

My_protector

That's right!  It's my dh!  He just made himself comfortable in the storage area!  Reading his book.  LOL!  He pops out every so often to come and chat with me and have lunch with me.  According to him, he is there to keep me company, make sure I'm safe and he had to add and I don't want to drive the entire 10-15 minutes back home.  LOL!  Anyway, no matter his reason, I'm glad he is there with me.

Deja Vu!!!

Ok, so on Monday morning, I'm sitting minding my own business in my office, working as usual and the DJ announces the next song is an exclusive...oooo...new song...I wonder who it is....new release from Beyonce' and Jay Z.  I'm thinking alright I like J...so can't wait to hear it.  Then the bassline starts and I've got to turn it up!  Jump up turn up the radio, sit back down and my heads bobbin'...well now I've got to get up....now you know I told you I like to dance!  LOL! Well...I'm groovin' and I'm thinking...this is good...the bass is out of control.  I'm loving it!  Songs done..I'm excited call dh...and I'm like, "Man I just heard Beyonce' and J's new song and it's good!  I'm diggin' it after only the first time hearing it!  This one is gonna be hot! It's a hit!"  Now, if you know me...you know I get really excited about stuff and you can hear it my voice and dh well let's just say we are completely opposite and he's just like yeh!  LOL!  I'm like I can't wait for you to hear it.  He's still like.."yeh."

That evening when he gets home, just before we are going to sit down for dinner...I come downstairs and say to him as I'm walking down the stairs, "They are probably playing the song right now."  I turn on the radio..guess what????  It's coming on right as I turn on the radio!  Whoa!  Freaky!  So I turn it up and I say..."OMG this is the song, this is the song man, listen."  Dh comes downstairs...I'm dancin' and he is just sitting on the sofa listening and looking at me.  He's used to this.  When it's all done..and I've worked it out and definitely worked something "off" LOL!  I look at him and say, "Well, what did you think?"  He says, in that vary excited manner I told you about earlier, "Yeh, you are right, it is good."

So the moral of the story is...call up your girlfriends who get excited with you no matter what, you're excited so they get excited!  LOL!

Now listen to the song....Deja Vu!

Look What I Found/Need to Crop

Look what I found this weekend at the Scrapbash!

Wall_rubons

OK...so most of you know how much I LOVE dragonflies!  They are a part of the Classy Coordinates logo.  These are wall rubons!  Fun, fun, fun!  Finally found something I'd like to put on my scraproom walls.  Now to clean it up and get organized!  LOL!

What subject do you need to scrapbook?  A subject that is important and you need to save the memories?   This was a blog challenge question on 2peas.  Well, the first thing that came to mind was my wedding.  I've been married 9 years and I have not created anything that resemenbles a wedding album.  I have indeed created several layouts of my wedding, but they really don't hold much info. or get to the heart of the day.  I would love to create a wedding album with all the "bells and whistles."  You ask what are you waiting for?  Dunno?  Just think it's got to be perfect and I haven't felt inspired to do it yet. Since it's my wedding I feel a little nervous about getting started. I want paper that is fun because our wedding was in a gazebo, on a cliff overlooking the ocean/beach in Jamaica, yet with a touch of elegance and class.  Someday, something will strike me and I'll get it done.  I've been collecting embellies for it for years!  LOL!
