What's Happening to Me?

So, if you know me you know I'm not that big on cooking.  Well, at least I hadn't been but in the past week, I've tried 2 new recipes and baked brownies.  There is a man around here that is very happy!   Dh thinks this is great!  LOL!  I guess this new year has me trying new things in scrappin' and in my life in general.  Trying new things and experiencing life differently is good!

Today, I decided to make a Shrimp and Grits Casserole! Mmmmmmm!  Turned out pretty good too!  Dh loves it!  Which is wonderful because honestly I'm not that big on shrimp but I know he really likes them.

I had the joy of peeling and deveining shrimp for the first time, as well.   Yuck!  I guess it's good the results were well worth it.  Here's a photo...looks delicious!

Guess who's gone digital?

Me!  That's who!  Not to long ago I can remember saying that I really wasn't interested in digital scrapbooking.....well...I took the plunge yesterday and decided to give it a try!  I created 2 layouts and I really enjoyed it.  The choices are endless and if I make a mistake, no problem..the undo button will take care of it! LOL! I think I now have a new addiction!   I plan to continue to scrapbook traditionally, but will enjoy creating layouts and gifts digitally, as well.  I've got a lot to learn and am anxious to know all I can.  I've been reading and scouring the web for ideas and information.  Wow!  Who knew there was so much information available and so many digi scrappers.

Well, here is my 2nd digi layout.  What do you think?

Aren't Reruns Wonderful!

So, I just finished watching myself on HGTV's Crafters Coast to Coast for about the 5th time and each time it feels like the first!  LOL!  I anxiously wait for it to come on and sit there as if I'd never seen it before.  What fun!  Seeing yourself on TV, not your recorded DVD but on the program, as aired is just such a wonderful experience to me.  After taping it and going through that process and seeing the finished product is very rewarding.

Well, it's been over a year since I taped that episode and I finally took the time to create a layout to memorialize this special event.  The crew was wonderful.  We had a great time that warm day in March 2004! Now, I will be able to look back with fond memories of my 15 minutes, more like 5 minutes of fame.  LOL!

Enjoy,

One of Those Days!

I'm having one of those days...you know the one where you have way more things on your list to be done than you could possibly get done in a day and all you really want to do is curl up with your blanket and stare at the television with your favorite snack.  LOL!

Well, my plan is to simply do what I can until around 5:30 pm, wind down with a little scrapbooking and then curl up with my blanket, stare at the tv with my favorite snack and maybe get dh to rub my feet!

Sounds like a plan to me.

Ciao!

Happy 2006!

That feels so go to say!  Why?  Not sure. I just believe 2006 holds wonderful things for me and for Classy Coordinates and I look forward to watching it all unfold.  I've simply got a good feeling about it.

I'm excited about the New Year and intend to live it to the fullest!  Speaking of intentions here is my short list for 2006.  I need to type them, write them, repeat them, make them real.  In 2006 I intend to:

  1. Be healthier.  Eat healthy.  I intend to make healthier food selections and eat smaller more normal sized food portions.
  2. I intend to excercise 3 days per week and enjoy it.
  3. I intend to be more thoughtful and acknowledge more birthdays, anniversaries, those in need of kind words, celebrations etc. by sending cards and well wishes.
  4. I intend to be positive in thought and actions.
  5. I intend to play often and enjoy life.

That's it!  Keep it short and simple.  I think we overload ourselves with too many intentions each year.  Keeping it short and simple can help keep you on track and make it much more attainable. It sure doesn't feel overwhelming to me and when 2006 is done...all of this will be routine to me, leaving room for a few simple intentions for 2007!

Happy New Year! Make it GRAND!
